Does anyone know of any *good* websites for homeopathic medicine?

Posted by admin on Sep 28, 2009

I’m just looking into finding a good websites to refer to about alternative medications, treatments, etc. The websites I have found tell what types of stuff to use in the medications, but not how to prepare them.
I’m not looking for stuff to cure cancer. Just the normal everyday cold, pains, and whatnot. Just wanted to find a decent website that would list stuff like certain herbs to use and how to use them properly.

Here are some helpful sites to learn about Homeopathy :-

http://www.hpathy.com/

http://www.homeopathic.org/index.html…

http://www.boiron.com/index_en.asp…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/main_page…

You will get most basic and quite advanced information on these sites and loads of other useful links about Homeopathy.

What is Republican alternative to health care crisis?

Posted by admin on Sep 28, 2009

I did not word it well, :) Republican alternative solution …. to the crisis
no Dems bashing please , just want to see if Republicans want to change something and how.

Republicans don’t have an alternative, they just want to see Obama fail…and by extension…they want to see America fail.

Pain Management Doctor?

Posted by admin on Sep 26, 2009

In response to some of your answers I would like to know if anybody knows a good pain management doctor in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I have constant pain and can’t seem to alleviate it..Tylenol/ Motrin and other over the counters medications just are not working. Do you have any other information on alternative treatment like the injections or what other types of medicine will help. I just hurt so bad all the time. Thanks everybody for your help…I’m a newbie.

What type of pain are you experiencing? I don’t know any painmanagement places in Texas cos I’m from Ohio, but I work at a chiropractic office here, in conjunction with a great many painmanagement offices. certain injections work wonders for certain people, but i’ve never seen one cure anyone. A lot of times an injection will work the first few times and then stop producing effects. A good chiropractor is advantageous because instead of alleviating symptoms, he or she will target the cause of those symptoms. best of luck.

Can someone help me find ACCURATE AND CREDIBLE journal articles about alternative medicine?

Posted by admin on Sep 26, 2009

it is for my biology class i am in college…i cant find any good ones, anything involving alternative medicine as long as its a good journal article not only someones opinion. facts as well thank you !

I did a simple search on Pub Med using the search string "herbal medicine" alone. (Not even a specific herb, extract or compound, nor any other modality!) This simple search string yields 13,240 results.

These studies are published in journals such as:
Int Arch Allergy Immunol.
J Obstet Gynaecol Res.
J Ethnobiol Ethnomed.
Neuroscience.
Int J Gynaecol Obstet.
J Gastroenterol Hepatol.
Pediatr Surg Int.
Clin Cancer Res.
J Ocul Biol Dis Infor
Prog Neuropsychopharmacol Biol Psychiatry.
Clin Exp Immunol

… You know, these are just a few of the journals which you "skeptics" say must ‘de facto’ be ridiculous and shammy pseudoscience mags. (Snort!) And you would purport that all 13 THOUSAND (+) are just poorly designed drivel… that major mainstream peer-reviewed scientific journals chose to print? Seriously? Tsk.

Gentlemen… For shame!!!

are there any alternative health or new age stores in the woodlands texas or conroe area?

Posted by admin on Sep 26, 2009

Considering relocating to the woodlands and starting up a buisness similar to ones on the east coast that specialize in alternative health concepts? would love to get feedback from people in this area as to whether this idea is appealing to the community

There is a new age store in Old Town Spring, but the health food store is the closest thing we have in The Woodlands. There are plenty of transplants who would be familiar with alternative health that it’s probably a good idea.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW the way these type of medicines are practiced: .?

Posted by admin on Sep 26, 2009

HOMEOPATHIC,HOLISTIC AND ALTERNATIVE medicine. What kind of training do the practioners in each of the different kinds of medicine need? Are there state or national standards each must meet (i.e. state boards). Do any of the standard health insurance companies pay for these others practices? Have you ever visited any of these practioners?

There are so many different types of homeopathic treatments to discuss. Each discipline requires trainings of various length.

There is virtually no standard and regulations for practicing alternative medicine except in the area of massage therapist, mid wife and chiropractor. Some states has more regulations than others.

Check out these web sites for more information the particularly types of training you might be interested.
http://www.alternative-training.com/login.php for some

http://resonanceschoolofhomeopathy.com/approach.htm

Some health insurance would cover massage and chiropractic treatments. I also seen some policies reimburse for yoga classes. But in general, it is no common for insurance policies to cover alternative treatments.

Have you had any success with alternative therapy.?

Posted by admin on Sep 26, 2009

For emotional problems.
And what was it you had done.

Yes, too many to recall, but an acupuncture screw put in my forehead took away reactive depression to loss. I just pressed on it when I was overcome. It is my favorite and one dose lasted almost 2 weeks.
