Thanks for all your posts… somehow, I wish YT would allow more than 500 characters. I agree… as with any profession… there are good ones and bad ones.

remember the same …
remember the same is with chiropractors as with other professions, there are good and poor chiropractors, there are chiros – manipulators – the just cracked the bones just to make sound – damage your spine after time and there are those who find that one or more bones and fix it and leave it alone – and it is safe.

and my goal is to …
and my goal is to help patients never to make money (I charged 1/2 for visit compare to medical docs), even m.d. and nurses are coming. Advise: find real chiropractor using Gonstead (very specific approach-he said to treat each patient as own 80year grandmother) 1- 3 visits and you are okey with out 20 year of painkillers for your headache….

I never tell my …
I never tell my patients to come again and how many visits they need to have, they ask me after first visit ( usually 50-70% better) if they can come again and bring they family, I never make advertisments (I worked 12-14 hour a day)-

I had practised massage, physical therapy, mix-chiropractic-other stuff, osteopathy.., for me and my patients works the best and long lasting Gonstead Method of Chiropractic- 1 to 3-4 adjustments ond problem is solved unless it is stb with severe problems (it takes time)..

I graduated medical school of therapeutic massage (2years) than 4 years I did master degree in physical therapy, I worked for 3 years as an istant and P.T. for chiropractor (mixer chiropractor not straight chiropractor) and worked and did research on university- finnaly made Ph. D., I did degree in osteopathy and chiropractic specialized in Gonstead Methode (straight chiropractic- adjust one bone were it is really the problem no rotations and leve it alone)- so

So here’s the …
So here’s the grammar nerd issue. To the best of my research, the noun for the discipline is “chiropractic,” which is also the adjective. “Chiropractor” is the noun for the practitioner, so doesn’t a noun ending in -ic seem more like an adjective to you? (There is no “chiropracacy”?)

I’m of the opinion that if you have to force something to move, then it really doesn’t need to go. That’s way I always focused on the muscles!

I operated a Chinese Medical Massage clinic. I did traditional massage, but also various forms of acupressure and Applied Kinesiology. Nutrition can have a powerful effect on how the body responds at different times.

Yeah, it’s amazing how much sessions cost these days and how much they pad their fees. Criminal in my opinion. I once saw on my EOB that they charge my insurance 1 unit for PT on a day that I didn’t do any.

Some are a bunch of nut jobs. But if they have a lot of training, they can do a lot of good. After all, Osteopaths use the same techniques.

I’ve used them a …
I’ve used them a couple of times. Most recently when I popped a rib out of place on the eliptical machine – pulled too hard and ‘ouch’! She got it put back into place with a couple of visits and I was fine. Now I go if my back hurts. At almost 60 years old, that can happen when I push harder than I’m used to. However, a lot of times some good yoga stretches will put me right without a trip. Thanks for the info – I’ll have to look into Tai Chi!

Oooh, I love having …
Oooh, I love having a good adjustment. What did you do in the alternative medical field? My mom worked at an alternative medical wellness center for a while. There was shiatsu, accupuncture, chiropracting, and this chick who did this weird stuff that I don’t even know!! Haha, but one time I had this horrible pain and she was just like, “magnesium.” And fixed it. Haha, alternative medicine rules!

4 yrs ago, my insurance was paying for my chiropractic care and he and i talked about wanting to save money to get as much quality care as possible w/ in that budget. later i found that the back extensions he was having me do on a yoga ball after the adjustment was costing $80 per session. i have my own ball and that could have been more adjustments.
